Until now, a payment from a Ghanaian business to a Kenyan supplier went through dollars twice: cedis to dollars, then dollars to shillings. Two conversions meant two margins and a longer wait.
What’s new
Montra now converts GHS to KES directly, at a single mid-market rate plus our usual fee. Payments settle on PesaLink or M-Pesa, usually in under a minute.
Who it’s for
Importers in Accra buying tea, flowers and spare parts from Kenya, and Kenyan exporters selling into Ghana who want to be paid in shillings.
Direct GHS to KES is available today on every plan. Open the payment screen, pick your cedi balance and choose a Kenyan recipient.
Moving money across borders?
Open a Montra account and see your first quote in minutes.
